The Stone Bridge girls are off to one of the best starts in the soccer program's history, with strong play based on a stingy defensive back line and a dazzling attack up front.

In a 4-0 win yesterday over visiting Chantilly, both strengths were on display for the No. 7 Bulldogs (8-2, 4-1 Virginia AAA Liberty District).

"A lot of our balls forward come from our defenders," said Stone Bridge central defender Lindsay Henry, a junior who has orally committed to play at UNC Wilmington. "We don't just boot the ball away, and I think that's why we score so many goals."
