Evansville-Vanderburgh School Corp. Deputy Superintendent Robert
Yeager has been named vice president of administration and finance
at Oakland City University.
Yeager, who served as EVSC's interim superintendent for a year
before last spring's hiring of Vincent Bertram, confirmed on
Thursday that his last day with the school system is June 1.
He then will use accrued vacation time until June 30.
"The school corporation has given me a lot of opportunities over
the years, and I'm very appreciative of those," said Yeager, 53.
"Dr. Bertram is working hard to move the corporation forward, and I
support him 100 percent. But opportunities like these (at Oakland
City) don't come along very often."
