Progressive Health -- the pending partnership between Froedtert & Community Health and Columbia St. Mary's -- is about to become bigger than expected.

The board of SynergyHealth, parent of St. Joseph's Hospital near West Bend, agreed Wednesday to affiliate with Froedtert & Community Health. The affiliation is expected to be complete by July.

Under the agreement, St. Joseph's Hospital, West Bend Clinic, which employs about 70 doctors, and SynergyHealth Foundation will become part of Froedtert & Community Health.

SynergyHealth, which employs 1,300 people, had revenue of $141.6 million in its fiscal year ended June 30, 2007.
