I Read with interest Coun Grant's letter on the proposed
increase in the minimum wage, to take effect in October, and how in
his words he felt the need to 'name and shame' the 17 Conservative
councillors whom he claims did not back the motion to welcome the
slight increase, accusing them of a vote for poverty.
It is time the councillor removed his blinkers and examined the
record of the Labour Government since it has been in power; also the
effect this last budget has had on countless thousands of people in
the country.
Labour are making a very good job of reducing people to poverty,
by higher taxation ...
