Good for Neil Young, debunking the gormless expression "politically correct".

The letter from Marilyn Warbis headed "Nuclear errors" must have produced a number of comments. Nuclear errors indeed - as it seems that Marilyn knows rather little about nuclear power and radiation, though she is certainly right to be aware of its many dangers.

There is, however, a serious point to be made. Political correctness is a left-wing language code that attempts to minimise the offence to race, gender and other cultural groups - and some of it has been for the good.
