A south West MEP has pledged to "redouble his efforts" in
fighting for Europe to address the cause of marine wildlife deaths.
Liberal Democrat MEP Graham Watson spoke out after the carcasses
of two young porpoises were found on the South Devon coastline
within 24 hours of each other.
Mr Watson said he recently tabled a question to the European
Commission on the deaths of dolphins and porpoises.
He added: "The need for greater protection for dolphins and
porpoises was identified 10 years ago.
"For over a decade, I have tabled questions in Parliament, met
commissioners and lobbied UK governments ...
