St just skipper Gareth May hailed his side's "superb" start to
the season as the Cornwall champions cruised to a seven-wicket
victory over Grampound Round in their opening match.
Last season St Just lost their first fixture in the Jolly's
Drinks ECB Cornwall Cricket League against Newquay but there was no
repeat this time as slow bowler Gary Thomas (four for 26)) and
master batsman David Roberts (74no) engineered a 20-point triumph at
the Village Playing Ground.
"Last year we didn't get the best of starts and I'm delighted to
get such a superb start this time," said record-breaking skipper
