Star names, concerts, talks, walks, plays, boat trips and
exhibitions all feature in this year's Daphne du Maurier Festival,
which runs from Thursday, May 8 until Saturday, May 17, in and
around the Cornish port of Fowey.
Held as a celebration of the life and work of the celebrated
writer who made the town her home, the festival, managed by
Restormel Borough Council, aims to entertain across the board.
This year, Lady Tessa Montgomery, Daphne's elder daughter, will
be recalling her childhood at Menabilly and her travels with her
mother.
The opening day sees appearances by Tim Smit, Rory McGrath, Dave
Gorman, Tim Heald and Rick Wakeman. Other highlights include a one-
