Hull: An investigation is under way after drugs used to commit
offences of date rape were allegedly stolen by a member of staff
working at the Hull Women and Children's Hospital at Hull Royal
Infirmary.
It is suspected the member of staff, who is believed to be a
senior nurse, stole large quantities of the sedative drug midazolam,
which slows down both the heart rate and rate of breathing, from the
Anlaby Road hospital in west Hull.
Although the trust in charge of the hospital said the member of
staff has not been suspended, it has been reported the individual is
no longer thought to be working in the same unit and colleagues have
