At A time when experts are predicting a bumpy ride ahead for the
property market, Bagshaws Residential managed to sell sixty seven
per cent of its properties at its recent auction, including one for
double the guide price.
Auctioneer Simon Gillibrand at Bagshaws Residential's auction
centre in Derby said: "The conditions in the residential market do
have a knock-on effect in the auctions market as buyers tend to be a
little more cautious.
"This was a very successful auction because many sellers listened
to our advice and were sensible about reserve prices.
"The key is stimulating interest and anticipation beforehand,
which generates competition on the day amongst buyers."
