Detectives have arrested two people in connection with the fatal
Penhallow Hotel fire in Cornwall which claimed three lives.
Police confirmed two men were taken into custody yesterday
morning to be questioned about the blaze in Newquay last August.
Joan Harper, 80, from Stoke-on-Trent, Peter Hughes, 43, and his
mother Monica, 86, both from Staffordshire, died in the blaze.
It brings the total number of arrests in the investigation to six
and follows an upsurge in police activity in the last few weeks.
Detective Chief Inspector Darren Lockley is leading the
investigation, which the police are still treating as a murder
inquiry.
