Production will now double at a Devon vineyard after a state-of-
the-art machine planted thousands of new vines.
The machine has been hired from Luxembourg by Matthew and Jo
Bernstein, the owners of Kenton Vineyard.
The machine has the ability to plant 3,800 vines in around five
hours. When the couple began planting vines at the vineyard five
years ago, they did so by hand, which took a team of eight people
four days to plant 3,000 vines.
Capacity at the vineyard, in Kenton, has now doubled overnight
and will allow the pair the opportunity to drive forward with
production, which has grown since they first opened a year ago.
