An undercover cop has told a Crown court jury how he had 'no
problem' in buying the illicit drug ecstasy at the former Dance
Academy club in Plymouth's Union Street.
The police officer, identified only as Mark, said on three
separate occasions in January and February 2006 he had bought the
class A drug from three different people inside the club.
On the first occasion he was even 'touted' by a drug dealer as he
queued outside to go into the club, Plymouth Crown Court heard.
He was among a number of undercover officers sent in to the Dance
Academy over a number of months to gather evidence of drug-dealing.
