Keele University has the best new medical school in the country -
according to the latest league tables.
The School of Medicine at Keele, which produced its first cohort
of junior doctors last year, is now ranked 16th in the country
overall, ahead of the other new courses at Warwick and Plymouth.
Despite only being founded in 2002, it is also ranked above more
established medical schools such as those at Leicester, Cardiff and
Manchester.
The success of the medical school should be good news for
patients in North Staffordshire, as it should help tackle the
problem of attracting enough doctors to practice in the region.
