A Painting of a renowned Cleethorpes cobbler will go on display
at a national exhibition.
The painting of Dave Wright at work in The Cobblers Shop, on
Brereton Avenue, has been chosen by the Leisure Painter Magazine to
go on show at the Patchings Art Craft and Design Festival, in
Calverton, near Nottingham, on June 5 to 8.
The artist is Dorothy Burke (72), of Front Street, Grasby, who
produces between 40 and 50 paintings a year in her garden shed.
She is a regular customer at The Cobblers Shop, and worked on the
painting for about a month during last winter.
