The excitement began for the performers of the Madcap Puppet
Theater well before their performances in East Dubuque Thursday,
April 17. Having arrived in the city well before they were due at
the high school, they scouted out Sinsinawa Ave., and decided on
stopping for a leisurely lunch.With time left to kill before show
time, they parked their large, white, unmarked van in front of
Liberty Bank and kicked back for a little relaxation with some of
the reading material they had with them.However, someone had
notified the police to check them out, partly because they had their
costumes on, which draws attention. After having been parked there
