Put a fondue pot on the table, and surprise Mom this Mother's Day
with a simple, put-together dinner. Arrange shrimp, tortellini and
vegetables on a platter, heat some broth and dip in.
Two or three minutes -- or even less -- is all it takes to cook
the food to each diner's taste. The best part is that this Mother's
Day dinner involves almost no kitchen cooking or mess.
Dipping sauces are an important part of the meal. I've given
three simple sauces, but you can use prepared salsa, teriyaki sauce,
flavored mustards or salad dressings.
Fondues have made a comeback because they're fun and easy. If you
