St. Stephen's Lutheran Academy just moved one step closer to
opening its doors to more students.
The Richard King Mellon Foundation has awarded Glade Run Lutheran
Services $500,000 -- the largest grant ever received by the group --
to help expand St. Stephen's programming and its footprint at the
Zelienople campus, officials announced this week.
"We are grateful that the Richard King Mellon Foundation shares
our commitment to meeting the programming needs of our kids and
communities," said Cindy Shafer of Glade Run Lutheran Services.
"Due to space limitations, we haven't been able to look at new
