Indonesia to limit fuel consumption with electric card

JAKARTA, April 25 (Xinhua) -- Indonesia's plan to limit fuel consumption using electric card is finally being rolled out wit a budget of 300 billion rupiah (around 32.6 million U.S. dollars), local press said Friday.

The public use of the so-called Smart Card is expected before July.

Oil and gas regulating body BPH Migas is now waiting for a team from the Energy and Mineral Resources Ministry to issue a decree as the legal basis to implement the program, reported major newspaper The Jakarta Post.
