Kenya Airways moves to e-ticketing

NAIROBI, May 28 (Xinhua) -- Kenya's national carrier, Kenya Airways, said Wednesday it is set to meet a June 1 deadline for paperless tickets, set by the world aviation body the International Air Transport Association (IATA).

A statement from the airline said the national carrier would adopt e-ticketing along with other African airlines in a bid to beat the deadline.

Airlines that fail to migrate from paper to electronic tickets by the deadline will face several disadvantages, including the inability to sell through key third-party e-commerce providers such as Expedia and Travelocity (ET).
