Sandford have hit top spot in Division One in what promises to be
one of the most thrilling title races in living memory, with no
fewer than five sides currently within 1.60 points average of each
other.
Sandford, Bradninch, North Devon, Lynton & Lynmouth and Filleigh
all have very genuine claims to the title this term.
The men from Creedy Park hit top spot thanks to another
marvellous innings from Richard Foan, who followed up the previous
week's unbeaten 94 with 91 at the Valley of Rocks.
Pete Randerson chipped in with 66 and the Sandford total of 265
for eight proved too much for the hosts, who closed on 215.
