Exeter Chiefs director of rugby Pete Drewett will welcome his
squad back for pre-season training on Thursday confident he has
pieced together an outfit capable of pushing for promotion to the
Guinness Premiership next season.
With the Devon club likely to pose the biggest threat to
relegated Leeds Carnegie at the top of the table, Drewett has spent
much of the summer bolstering his ranks with a number of new
signings.
Yesterday, three more players checked in at the Sandy Park
arrivals lounge, much to the delight of the Exeter boss - who admits
he has not yet finished adding to his squad.
