OPEC oil price keeps rising

VIENNA, Jan. 19 (Xinhua) -- The average crude oil price rose to 30.79 US dollars per barrel last week, up 68 cents compared to the previous week, the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries ( OPEC), headquartered in Vienna, said on Monday.

The crude oil price, based on the average price package of seven market-monitored crudes, issued by the secretariat of OPEC, was impulsed by cold weather in northwestern American and no change of crude oil reserve.

The oil price on Jan. 13 stood at 31.08 dollars per barrel, the first time the daily oil price broke 31 dollars after the ending of the Iraqi war.
