Arab League chief welcomes Chinese president's upcoming visit

CAIRO, Jan. 26 (Xinhua) -- Arab League (AL) chief Amr Moussa on Monday welcomed Chinese President Hu Jintao's upcoming visit to the 22-member pan-Arab forum, Egypt's official MENA news agency reported.

Moussa lauded China's role in the international arena, while highlighting its good relations with the Arab world, the report said.

President Hu is due to arrive here on Jan. 29 for a four-day state visit to Egypt, the second leg of his four-nation tour which is taking him to France and will later take him to Gabon and Algeria.

During his stay here, Hu will meet Moussa over issues of mutual ...
