Roundup: US-recruited Iraqi police more frequently targeted in
Iraq

BAGHDAD, Jan. 31 (Xinhua) -- The Iraqi police force, trained and
recruited by the US-led coalition, has been more frequently targeted
in this conflict-ridden country.
A suspected suicide car bomber detonated explosives outside a
police station in Mosul, the third largest Iraqi city, on Saturday,
killing nine policemen and civilians and injuring dozens of others.
The powerful explosion occurred before midday when crowds of
policemen were gathering at the compound collecting their salaries.
A Hong Kong-based Chinese television station reported another bomb
attack on Saturday at a police officer in Baghdad, ...
