New members to be added to world heritage family

BEIJING, Feb. 17 (Xinhua) -- Fifty new world heritage sites will be added to the World Heritage list in the upcoming World Heritage Committee session in China, said a Chinese official here Tuesday.

Zhang Xinsheng, chairman of 28th session of the World Heritage Committee and Chinese Vice-Minister of Education, said the session would focus on global strategies, wider protection and international cooperation.
