Roundup: HK opens door to Chinese medicine in SARS treatment
HONG KONG, Jan. 6 (Xinhua) -- Hong Kong's public hospital system,
traditionally dominated by the western medicine, began to open the
door for the Chinese medicine to fight Severe Acute Respiratory
Syndrome (SARS) after its outbreak last year.
Now in Hong Kong's public hospitals, patients, in case they are
infected with SARS, have the right to choose Chinese medicine. To
guard against another SARS outbreak, the health workers can also
decide to take Chinese medicine, which was unimaginable in the past.
