Japan's market for IC tags to grow 84-fold by FY 2010

TOKYO, Jan. 14 (Xinhua) -- Japan's market for IC tags is projected to grow 84-fold to 1,214 million units in fiscal 2010 from an estimated 14.5 million units in fiscal 2003, a private economic research institute said Wednesday.

The latest projection represents an upward revision from the 1, 132.7 million units projected in December 2002, the Tokyo-based Yano Research Institute said.
