ATHOC unveils Olympic Torch Relay program in Greece

ATHENS, Jan. 14 (Xinhua) -- Athens 2004 Olympic Organizing Committee (ATHOC) unveiled here Wednesday a plan for Olympic Torch Relay route and officially launched the torchbearer selection program for the Greek leg of the relay.

According to the plan, during the first part of Greek torch relay, the flame will be lit in ancient Olympia on March 25, 2004 - the anniversary of the first modern Olympics held in Athens in 1896 - and then travel in one week till March 31 to the Panathenian "Kallimarmaron" stadium in Athens, where it will remain until June 4.
