Canadian company buys Morococha silver mine in Peru

OTTAWA, Feb. 9 (Xinhua) -- Canada's Pan American Silver Corporation has signed a binding deal to buy the Morococha silver mine in Peru for 35 million US dollars, the Vancouver-based junior miner said Monday.

The company said in a press release that it will buy over 92 percent of the voting shares of Compania Minera Argentum S.A., which will acquire the mine and related infrastructure from Sociedad Minera ...
