Arab League summit to discuss US Middle East initiative: Saudi FM

PARIS, Feb. 21 (Xinhua) -- The upcoming Arab League summit in Tunis will discuss the United States' "Greater Middle East Initiative" to promote democracy in the Arab world, Saudi Arabia's Foreign Minister Prince Saud al-Faisal said here Saturday.

"Since this initiative concerns the Middle East, it will certainly be discussed in the framework of the league of Arab nations," al- Faisal said following a meeting with French President Jacques Chirac.

"We hear the press talk about this initiative. We have received nothing officially till today," he said.
