Tehran promises cooperation if IAEA normalized handling of Iran's nuclear program

TEHRAN, March 8 (Xinhua) -- Iran on Monday promised a greater cooperation if the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) normalized its handling of Iran's nuclear program, state radio reported.

Iran is "confident" of escaping any criticism at a meeting of the IAEA Board of Governors "because we have been giving total cooperation to the agency," Foreign Ministry spokesman Hamid-Reza Asefi was quoted as saying.

Asefi said, "If the climate is calm, Iran will reinforce its cooperation with the IAEA. The Islamic Republic of Iran insists that its relations with the IAEA should be normalized, because in a calm ...
