Pistons lost to Spurs with Ben Wallace's expelling

WASHINGTON, March 25 (Xinhua) -- Manu Ginobili scored 17 points, 14 in the second half, to power the San Antonio Spurs to an 84-75 victory over the Detroit Pistons in a battle between two of the NBA's best defensive teams Thursday.

The host Spurs moved within two games of the Minnesota Timberwolves for first place in the Midwest Division standings.

Detroit, which was beaten for the second straight game, had Ben Wallace ejected with 6:07 remaining. Wallace was called on a loose- ball foul with his team trailing 71-64. When he argued with referee Steve Javie, the official ejected the Pistons forward.
