Spanish authorities say a Tunisian planned Madrid bombings

MADRID, April 1 (Xinhua) -- The Spanish authorities said Thursday a Tunisian planned and coordinated the bombings on March 11, which hit the capital Madrid killing at least 190 people and wounding 1,450.

The Tunisian was identified as Serhane Ben Abdelmajid Fakhet and was included in the list of six Arabs whose arrest was requested by the Spanish police on Wednesday.

Ben Abdelmajid, alias "The Tunisian," participated in the renting of the village in Morata de Tajula, near Madrid, where the bombs were prepared.
