TUNIS, May 22 (Xinhua) -- Libyan leader Muammar Ghaddafi said Saturday he hoped Libya's general people's congress to approve the country's withdrawal from the Arab League.

Shortly after walking out of the opening session of an Arab summit earlier the day, Ghaddafi said he was boycotting the meeting in protest against the pan-Arab bloc's failure to take up his proposal for a single Palestinian-Israeli state.
