ADB launches simultaneous HK, Singapore dollar benchmark issue

MANILA, June 1 (Xinhua) -- The Asian Development Bank (ADB) Tuesday launched simultaneous bond issues in the capital markets of China's Hong Kong and Singapore in the principal amounts of 1 billion Hong Kong dollars and 200 million Singapore dollars, respectively.

The issues, both with a maturity of three years, were priced at par to carry a quarterly coupon of 2.85 percent for the HK dollar tranche and a semiannual coupon of 1.845 percent for the Singapore dollar tranche, equivalent to about 3 and 27 basis points over the current interpolated government bond yield curves, respectively, the ADB said in a statement.
