HK to increase daily quantities of imported live chickens from Mainland

HONG KONG, April 23 (Xinhua) -- The Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government announced here Friday to increase the daily quantities of imported live chickens from Chinese Mainland to 12,000 on April 25.

The government made the decision following a review on the Phase I arrangement for the resumption of Mainland imports on a pilot basis.

During Phase I, April 20-22, of the pilot arrangement, three consignments of about 6000 chickens were imported from the Mainland each day.
