Thai cabinet members escape no-confidence motion
BANGKOK, May 24 (Xinhua) -- Given the government's majority vote
in the House of Representatives, all eight cabinet members targeted
by the opposition's censure motion easily secured themselves Monday
afternoon from the no-confidence attempt.
The eight targeted cabinet members are Deputy Prime Minister
Chavalit Yongchaiyudh, Deputy Prime Minister Wan Muhamad Noor Matha,
Deputy Prime Minister Suchart Suchart Jaovisidha, Finance Minister
Somkid Jatusripitak, Education Minister Adisai Bodharamik, Transport
Minister Suriya Jungrungreangkit, Commerce Minister Watana Muangsook,
and Information and Communications Technology Minister Surapong ...
