HK chief executive: NPC interpretation of Basic Law beneficial to
implementation of "One Country, Two Systems"
HONG KONG, April 6 (Xinhua) -- Hong Kong Special Administrative
Region Chief Executive Tung Chee Hwa said here Tuesday night that the
interpretation by the Standing Committee of the National People's
Congress (NPC) of the two annexes of the Basic Law is beneficial to
the successful implementation of the "One Country, Two Systems."
Tung pointed out at a press conference that the interpretation of
the Basic Law aims for an accurate understanding and smooth
implementation of the Basic Law of the HKSAR.
