US should apologize for attacking holy sites in Iraq: Iranian president

TEHRAN, May 17 (Xinhua) -- Iranian President Mohammad Khatami said on Sunday evening that the US government should apologize for the damage of holy Shiite Muslim sites in Iraq, the official IRNA news agency reported on Monday.
