Australian cyclist cut from Olympic team

CANBERRA, July 30 (Xinhua) -- Australian Olympic Committee (AOC) announced Friday that Australian former world champion cyclist Jobie Dajka has been dropped from the Olympic team for bringing the team into "disrepute and censure."

Dajka admitted Friday in the inquiry by AOC director of sport Craig Phillips that he had lied to an earlier inquiry headed by retired Supreme Court judge Robert Anderson.

Anderson's inquiry had been set up to investigate doping allegations by Dajka's team-mate Mark French.
