News Analysis: European economists say high oil prices alone not
to hinder economic growth
VIENNA, Aug. 11 (Xinhua) -- As oil prices have broken one record
after another on the international market, economists in Europe have
divided views on how the high prices will affect the world economy,
with many saying the rising oil prices alone could hardly hinder
world economic growth.
Oil prices of the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries
(OPEC) have exceeded 40 US dollars per barrel, the Vienna-based OPEC
