Iranian president urges end to Iraqi occupation

TEHRAN, July 11 (Xinhua) -- Iranian President Mohammad Khatami said Sunday it was important to end foreign occupation of Iraq, the official IRNA news agency reported.

"The end of foreign occupation will be in the interest of the Iraqi people, the region and the occupiers," Khatami was quoted as saying.
