NATO chief urges Serbia-Montenegro to cooperate with UN war crimes tribunal

BELGRADE, July 19 (Xinhua) -- NATO Secretary-General Jaap de Hoop Scheffer urged Serbia-Montenegro authorities on Monday in Belgrade to fully cooperate with the Hague-based UN war crimes tribunal.

During his visit to the Balkan country, De Hoop Scheffer met with Serbia-Montenegro President Svetozar Marovic and called for full cooperation with the UN war crimes tribunal and drop its suit against NATO in the International Court of Justice over the alliance's bombing of Yugoslavia during the Kosovo war in 1999, saying ...
