Macao's chief executive runners start to seek nomination

MACAO, July 13 (Xinhua) -- Anyone who meets criteria and has a will of running for the post of the chief executive of the Macao Special Administrative Region (SAR) government can pick up nomination forms at the Election Coordination Center on Tuesday.

Election of Macao's next chief executive is set for August 29.

Under Macao's Chief Executive Election Law, which was passed by the Macao Legislative Council in April, the election of the chief executive must be held at least 60 days before the office holder's term expires. The incumbent Chief Executive Edmund Ho Hau Wah's five- year term expires on Dec. 19 this year.
