United States release Olympic women's gymnastics team

WASHINGTON, July 18 (Xinhua) -- The United States has completed the roster of its women's Olympic gymnastics team for next month's Athens Games, naming what it believes the strongest squad ever after five days of training at the Olympic team selection camp.

Carly Patterson, Mohini Bhardwaj, Annia Hatch and Terin Humphrey were named on Sunday to join Courtney Kupets and Courtney McCool who booked automatic berths with a one-two finish at the US Olympic team trials in June.

Chelsie Memmel, Tasha Schwikert and Alysse Ishino will be team alternates.
