Israel's Labor presents no confidence bill despite ongoing coalition talks

JERUSALEM, July 21 (Xinhua) -- Israel's opposition Labor Party presented on Wednesday a no confidence motion against the government despite the ongoing coalition talks, the Ha'aretz reported.

The motion, mainly targeted at Prime Minister Ariel Sharon's economic policies, accused the current policies of "socioeconomic failures."

The head of the Labor faction in the Knesset (parliament) Dalia Itzik said the motion was presented because the government undertook no changes since it began negotiations with the Labor.
