British terror suspect wanted by US remains in custody

LONDON, Aug. 13 (Xinhua) -- A court in London ordered Friday that a British terror suspect wanted in the United States be held in custody until a further extradition hearing on Sept. 10.

Babar Ahmad, arrested in London on August 4 on a US extradition warrant, was accused in the United States of raising money to support acts of terrorism in Chechnya and Afghanistan via websites and email between 1998 and 2003.
