Earthquake hits NW China's Gansu Province, no casualty reported

BEIJING, Sept. 7 (Xinhua) -- An earthquake measuring 5.0 on the Richter Scale on 20:15 Tuesday struck Minxian County in northwest China's Gansu Province at north latitude 34.7 degrees and east longitude 103.9 degrees, 150 kilometers south of Gansu's capital Lanzhou City, according to China's Seismological Forecast Network.

So far, no casualty was reported and the situation in the disaster- hit area is still under investigation, according to the China Seismological Bureau.
