Beijing Consensus passes among int'l trade unions

BEIJING, Oct. 11 (Xinhua -- Trade Unions from around the world approved a policy statement, "the Beijing Consensus," at the International Forum on Economic Globalization and Trade Union which closed here Monday. Union leaders agreed to establish the forum as a regular activity.

The forum is to provide an open platform for all trade unions to voice their opinions, exchange ideas and coordinate their positions.

"Each year during the International Labor Conference in June, all the parties will be involved in the decision through consultation on the topics, timing, venue of the next forum, and each party will be the coordinator in rotation ...
